The spreads that traders can expect with the MarketsX account are exceptionally low and competitive. Through MarketsX, Markets.com offers premium service and some of the lowest spreads in the market, depending on the financial instrument, the market price and conditions, and the time of day that trades are executed.

Marketsi Account
The Marketsi Account is a comprehensive investment account that provides traders with competitive conditions, transparent fees, and excellent tools and information that will help them make informed accurate investment decisions.
The benefit of using the Marketsi Investment account is that commissions are waived for the first three months that traders have a Markets.com share dealing account. After the first three months have passed, investors can expect these commissions.
- US shares – from 2c and a minimum of 15 USD
- UK shares – from 0.1% and a minimum of 8 GBP
- EU shares – from 0.1% and a minimum of 10 EUR
- AU shares – from 0.1% and a minimum of 10 AUD
Additional trading conditions on the share dealing account include the following.
- Share dealing account spreads are not marked-up
- There are custody fees that start at a rate of 0.15% and a minimum charge of 5 EUR per month. Once the commission-free period has passed, investors will be charged at a rate of 0.12% with a minimum charge of 10 EUR monthly
- Conversion fees are charged at 0.50% during the commission-free period and these charges apply for currency conversions if the account currency is different to the asset currency. Once the commission-free period has ended, there is a 1% currency conversion fee applied
- Investors must note that there is stamp duty applied to UK stocks from 0.5%
- There is a Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) of 0.30% charged on all large-cap French stocks
- For every $1 million traded on US exchanges, there is a $20.70 fee charged
- US shares attract an administration fee of up to $0.05 per individual share
In addition to this, investors can expect the following stock exchange fees.
- Australian Securities Exchange – 20 AUD for private investors and 95 AUD for professional investors
- Bats Europe – 25 GBP for professional investors

The purpose of an Islamic Account is that it caters specifically for Muslim traders who follow Sharia law. The law prevents its followers from paying any type of interest, such as overnight fees, which is seen as wasteful or exploitive.
Overnight fees are charged should traders hold positions open for longer after the trading day has concluded and this type of account allows exemption from such fees or interest, should they hold positions open for longer.
Markets.com offers Muslim traders who follow Sharia law the option of converting their live trading account into that of an Islamic account, exempting them from earning/paying any overnight fees when they hold positions open for longer.
